Case Vision system for Danish mineral water brand, Aqua d’Or

For Aqua d’Or in Brande, we have provided a vision system for detecting oval caps applied to plastic bottles. The issue with oval caps is that they result in numerous production stops as the caps get stuck in the conveyors leading to the capping machine. Aqua d’Or sought a solution where the oval caps could be sorted out, thus avoiding production stops and subsequent loss of production.

The solution involves a vision system positioned just before the caps enter the conveyors. A camera detects the oval caps, and a rejection system ensures they are sorted out.
